Tlie Demócrata of Michigan wil] meet In state con ven tion in the city of Grand Kapids on the th (Ihv of June, at 12 o'clock noon, for the purpose of nominating party candidates ior the following state olfires: Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, Secretary of State, 8tate Treasurer, Auditor General, Attorney General, Commlssioner of the state Land Offce. Superintendent of Public Instruction, Member of the State Board of Education, and alsotwo eandidates for United States Senators; for the selection of a State Central Committee to serve for the ensuing two years, and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before it. According to the rule adopted by the Democratie State Convention, field in Detroit in 1880, and sinee followed. every county in the state is entitled to one delégate to the State Convention for each 500 votes cast for Governor at the lat general elivtion, and one additional delégate for a fraetlOB of not less than 25u votes. But each county is entitled toat least two delegates. Ai] delégales must be residents of the eounty they represent. The delegates from each congressional district are recjuested to meet in caucus on the day of the convention at quarters to be hereafter desisinated by the Central Committee and select candidates for recommendation to the eonvention as follows, to-wit: Two members of the State Central Committee, one Vice-PreMdent of the Convention and oDe member for each oí the following committees of the Convention: Credentials, Permanent Organization and Order of Business and Resolutions.
