Lansing, June 27.- Suuday nightDr. Masón W. Gray of Pontiac reported the presence of i case of smallpox in that city tu Secretary Baker of the state board of health, the victim haviüg been sick since last week Tuesday. it ia not known where this case was contracted. The physicians were unable to definitely diagnose the disease until Sunday. A second case was reported in Lincoln township, Isabella oounty. a young man who has not been away frotn home for some weeks being taken sick. It is surniieed that the disease was brought f rom Chicago by the patienb'e father, who recently returned from that city, where he was engaíred as a book canvasser. Prompt aL-tion bas been taken by the anthorities in this case.
