A party of Ann Arbor people are camping at the bluffs at Portage Lake. Among them are Mr. Wilson and famly, Mr. Scotten, Miss Smith, Miss Sebring, the Misses Anme and May Vincent, Mrs. S. Stebbins and daughters and G. Crozier, M. Dowler, F. Strickler and J. C. Wilson. The Misses Sarah and Mary Taylor attended the Mowers and Campbell wedding at Pinckney last Wednesday, Mrs. Ben Allen, of Pinckney, visited ïere Monday. Miss Mabel Sigler, of Pinckney, spent Monday with friends. Thomas Daley and daughters were in Ann Arbor Monday. John Eagles, of Wyandotte, will spend the sumnaer here. George Vinkle called on Ann Arbor friends the first of the week. Frank Smith, of Pinckney, was here on business Monday last. W. T. Green and wife, of Tlnee Oaks, are visiting here. Mrs. Jay Keith is entertaining her sister. Mis. L. Shears, of Detroit, is the euest oí her sister. Joe Connors, of Sandwich, Ont., will spencl the summer here. L. C. Palmer and family. of Howell, have been visiting his father. Patnck Lavey and iamily were Pinckney visitors, Saturday. R. Devinney was at Hudson one day last week. Mr. Stocking, of Stoekbridge, called hers last Friday. B. Comiskey and wife, of Northfield, visited her sister Friday. Mrs John McCabe entertained friends i'rom abroad, Thursday. Miss Ettie Smith, of Ann Arbor is visiting her parents. The farmers are busy finishing their hay harvest, and getting ready for their wheat harvest. Mrs. William Hooker and daughter Maud,of PettysviUe, spent Thursday witli tlieir friends. Mrs. Simpson gave a tea to a number of lier friends, Thursday afternoon. Mr. Klttredge, of Ann Arbor, made us a pleasant cali one day last week. The safe f rom Gregory's bank in the village lias been taken to Manchester. Mrs. H. L. Stoup, of Ypsilanti, is visiting her daughter. Mrs. E. lloward is entertaining her brother írom Detroit. James Rowe and family spent Sunday with her parents at Foster's. Miss Editli Waite is spending a few days in Kast Tawas. John Wall is home trom the college at Cincinnati, to spend the summer months. Bom, June 27. 1894, a son to Mr. and Mrs. M. Robbnis. Frank Buchanan made his Ann Arbor friends a cali, Monday. Mrs. Jobn Gallagher entertained frieuds on Wednesday of last week. Simón Schairer has been at the lakes for a few days' rest. Mrs. Sears and friend were Ann Arbor visitors the first of this week. Lewis Chamberlain was in Pinck ney on business, Wednesday. Byron Hopkins and Joe Curtis were n Pinckney, Thursday. Mrs. Wm. Gregory entertained friends last Wednesday. Mrs. L. Rodman and Mrs. T. Bristol visited Ann Arbor friends recently. Will Story has been entertaining his cousin the past few days. Mrs. C. Brogan, of Marión, was the guest of her möther and family several days of last week. R. Bloomfield is home from his studies at Olivet College. Mrs. J. Warren is entertaining her sister from Muskegon. Miss Anna Wallace has been entertaining some of her friends. Mrs. W. Tozer and daughter, of Detroit, spent last week here. A new plate front has been put in the building occupied by W. Keiler. E. Serviss and wife, of Ann Arbor, spent the first of the week with her mother. A. H. Crittenden. of Detroit, spent Sunday with friends. MissKate Schaeberle, of Jackson, visited her mother over Sunday. Mrs. Prosser, of Detroit, is visiting her cousins for a short time. Geo. Rehm, of Chicago, greeted old friends last week. Miss C. Mlark, ot Huntington, Ind. , is home on a vaeation. Charles Ryan, of Ypsilanti, spent Saturday and Sunday with friends.
