Port Hurón, July-t.- The Chicago and Grand Trunk train starte! from Battle Creek at 9:30 a. m. reacned this city at 4:15 in the afternoon. The traiu was strongly guarded by deputy uiarshala and shenffs and no troubïe vas encountered. A passenger on the train told me that at every town along the route great crowds came down to the station to greet the first eaatbouud train since Saturday. There was a considerable number of the striking employés around when the train came in, but nothing was done further than to try to ascertain who the engineer and firemen were. As theengine was guarded iar two deputies they weresuccessful in this, though the claim was made that the engineer was not a loconiotive engiueer. Trains on the Detroit división were ruiming as usual up to 6 o'clock wheu the strike was ordered on there too.
