Mis. J. Martin went to Tecuniseh, Tuesday. H. Stierle. of Aun Albor, is clerking íor Walter Mack. A nuniber of the young people are going to the lakes, Friday. Miss Mae Aylesworth went to Tecumseh, Mpnday, to visit íriends. Miss Cora Chorous, of Coldwater, is visitiug her aunt. Mrs. Alice Goodell. Master Hugo Kirchofer went to Freedom to spend a week at harvesting. A class of twenty will take first conimunion at St, Mary's church next Sunday. Mis. Dr. Ohlinger and children have gone to Freuiont, Ohio, to visit relatives. Misses Huida and Bertha Koch, of Detroit, are the guests of Miss Bertha Lehn. August Nisle and friend, of Aun Arbor, spent the Fourtli with his parents. MissAnnieCebulskie.of Ann Arbor, spent a few days in town, visiting her parents. Mrs. II. H. Hartley, of Minneapolis, visited her sister, Mrs. Dr. T. L. Iddings, last week. Geo. Nisle and wife drove to Somerset Center, Monday, to attend the funeral of a friend. George Marx and wife rejoice over the advent of a little boy, who made his appearanee last Friday. Nettie Rowe and Emma Hoffberger ■went to Ann Arbor, Monday, to attend the teachers' institute. Miss Winifred Cash, of Brooklyn, is spending the week with her grandparents, Jas. Kelly and wife. Miss Elvira Baldwin, who has been very sick the past few weeks, is reported to be somewhat better. Bertha and Nina Clark went to ïpsilanti last week, where they will spend the summer visiting their mother. Miss Nettie Tavlor was elected delégate to the B. Y. e. ü. of America convention to be held at Toronto, July 19-22. The Misses Marie and Julia Kirchhofer went to Ann Arbor Tuesday to attend the teacher's institute and visit relatives. Prof. Essery and family left last Thursday for Sanilac county, where they will spend the vacation visiting relatives. Mr. Helber, of Ann Arbor, editor of the "Washtenaw Post," was in town last Friday on business. He was accompanied by his little son. Ed. Dieterle met with a painful accident last Saturday. While drawing hay he slipped and feil, breakinj? a few ribs and otherwise injuring himself. Chris. Marx, who has been clerking at the Banner store the past eight years, has given up the position and will take a few weeks' vacation before accepting another position. The weather has been very favorah'ti the past week for those wishing toplay baseball. Monday, the north and sóuth sirtes liad a game, and after much sport the game resulted in favor of the "sunny south."1
