He Rode At Balaklava

Lodon, July 19.- The attention of parliament has been called to the iact that ihere ís now inDubliu an old Irish soldier uamed Donovan who rode ia the Balaklava chame in the Crimean war, and who aas only $1.25 a week on which to support nis wife aud himself. He is HO years old, ais sight has failed and consequently he is in no position to help himself. The war lepartment has replied that Donovan is receiving Ü5 cents a day and that this is the largest that can be granted by the royal warrant uuder which he served.
