New YoKK.July 19.- Ernest Smith, 11 years oíd, has been almost at death's door in Fordhaui hospital aince July 1. He was takeu there with his skull crushed ia. ïhe right side of the frontal bone and orbital píate were shattered and the brain matter was oozing out. Two iuche3 of bone and two teaspoonsful of brain matter were removed aud the boy is now out of danger.
