The camp ia hushed, the fires burn low. Like ghosts the aentries come aad go. Now seen, now lost upon tbe height A keen drawn salier glimmers white. Swiftly the midnight steals away- Reposez-vous, boa chevaliers. Perchance into your dreams shall come Visions of love or thoughts of home. The furtive night wind hurryiug by Shall kisa away the half breathed aigh And softly whispering seem to say, Reposez-vous, bon chevaliers. Through starlitdusk and shimmering dew It ia your lady comes to you. Delphine, Liseite, Annette- who knowa By what sweet wayward name she goes? Wrapped in white arnis till break of day. Reposez-vous, bon chevaliers.
