The rules cominittee had prepared a report for iminediate conskieratiou ol tüe bcuate tunS bill to be foliowed by the separate bilis íor sugar, coal, i ron ore and barbed wire. At 3:35 p. m. Catchings was recognized and presented tbe report providing for the passage of the tariff bilí. Tne rules cnmmittee report also provides for passing tbe other bilis named in the caucus resolution. Reed mude a parliamentary objection to the proceedure, claiming tbe tariff bill was not heiore the house and indicHted the Republicau intention to fight tbe bill and report in every proper way. Crisp held that the resolution was in order and before the house. ïhe previous question was ordered without división.
