Tromsoe, Norway, Aug. 13.- United States Consul Wright has started a sailing vessel which will proceed to Spitzbergen and tbe far north for the purpose of meeting Walter Wellman and other menibers of the polar expedition on their return from their journey toward the pole. It was not possible to engage a steamer in time for the service required, and rather thau take any chances it was deemed best to charter a sailing vessel. Tue ship is stanch in every way, and is well adapted for the work that it will have to perforra. It bas been provisioned íor a loug voyage, and in ftddition to its owu supplies large qaantities of clothing and other uecessaries bave been put aboard for use of the Wellman party. It will proceed to Dane island and beyond if possible, Hud there await the return of the explorers on the ice.
