He is aa American i zed liussian and was imprisoned by the Russian government. It is uaderstood that international coinplicatioos may arise from his case. He was moving for interference oa the part of this Koverntneut in his behalf when an opportunity of escape presented itself , of which üe quickly availed himself. He refused to talk, tearing it might prejudice hi case.
