A Very Mean Thief
i borne thieves are quite respectable; others are very mean, dirty whelps. Of the latter variety is the low-down lump of baggage who not only stole the potatoes grown by Mr. Greenion, watchraan of the T. & A. A. crossing, but pulled the vines. Mr. Greenion is a poor man with a large family, and had cultivated a little patch of ground along the railroad. The marauder pulled the vines and took the largest potatoes, his luxurious discrimination disdaining the smaller ones. It is the existence and peculations of such pestiferous sneaks that makes one reluctant to accept the new translation of the scripture and cling with hopeful tenacity to the old.
