TOPEKA, Aug. Ib - Serious trouble has broken out in the Woman's Suffrage ranks ia Kansas. ïhe suffrasje carnpaign Is In charge of the Suffrage association, of which Mrs. Laura M. Johns oí Salina is p esident. She is a liepublicaii, and th e ist.ern suffrage workers, or at least some of them, hold her personally responsible bacnuHe the Republican convention declineil to incorpórate woman suffrage ia the platform. N'ow the aunouncement has been made through the Rev. Anna Shaw that no more money will be forwarded to the National Suffrage associatiou until Mrs. Johns is deposed trom her position as manager of the campaign. The nat ional association has pledged itself to contribute feO.000 to the campaign fund, but now it is not expected that auy of this sum will be sent here, for the Kansas women interested in the suffrage tuovement have the greatest conndence in Mrs. John and resent tlie actiou of outsiders in attómpting to díctate to tUem whom their 'eadeis shall be.
