The Ann Arbor company will soon do what it has been threatening to do for a year, break away from the Pensylvania company. It has about perfected plans for a handsome passenger and freight depot. The new depot will be erected on Lagrange street near the Old Ladie's home, and will be built of brick and stone. The company's rails will be laid alongside the Wheeling tracks. The right of way has all been secured. The property was purchased some time ago. The property was purchased some time ago. The old entrance of the Ann Arbor from Manhattan Junction near Riverview park to the Pennsylvania depot will be abandoned and all passenger and freight trains will run into the new depot. The old line will likely be used for freight connections. General Manager H. W. Ashley stated to The News' this noon that work would be commenced on the new terminals within a week or ten days. He could not say how soon the Ann Arbor would occupy the new depot. The company has been paying the Pennsylvania line an immense rent for years amounting to a sum sufficient to build a depot or two. The contract for the new buildings is said to have been secured by Mr. Aug, 15.
