The Noble Image
Poets have sung of the nobility of man and his grandeur in the f uil height of physical development. The theme was worthily taken. At the University gymnasium will soon begin the work of physical development of "God's noblestwork,"man. Three thousand dollars worth of physical developers have arrived. The work, it is expected, will be completed by September. The apparatus embraces a complete hall floor outfit. Dr. Fitzgerald, physical instructor, will arrive from Worcester, Mass., Sept. i. He will bring with him a special outfit for experimental work. Mr. Whitney regards the gymnasium as extremely well equipped. Among other furnish ings will be 750 separate locker for the storage of gymnasium cloth ing.
