Bank Robbery In Kansas
Salina, Sept. 3.- Four masked men entered the bank at Tescott, tbirteen milas north of here, and held up the cashier, shooling several times at him compeĆ¼iug him to deliver to them 51,000. Tliey then backed out of the frout door. Citizens shot at them with revolvers, and it is thought one of the robbers was hit. John Swartz, a youug man, stepped out in the street with a gun, when the robbers turned on him and shot him through the groin. He was seriously wounded and may die. Thn 'the robber rounded up their horses, wbieh had been left at the iumber yard near by, and hurried away. Posses froni Tescott, Saline, and other points started in pursuit, and word bas beun received that the robbers svere seen uear Brookville. A farmer who was in the bank at the time of the robbery was uiadu to give up his valuables and mouey.
