cT. yÁUL, toept 10- ïhe state relief coinrnission appointed by Governor Nelson to investígate and set on foot the best measures for the relief of the sufferiug by forest fires at aad around Hinckley has issued a formal statement. This statement recites the first work of relief done at Duluth aud also the work done at Pine City, Mora, St. Paul, Minneapolis and elsevvhere, estimates the number relieved gives the manner of relief and state that:' "As far as the immediate relief is ooncerued it bas been splendidly taken care of aod a most elïective organizatioa eatablished to carry on the woric. " After enumerating the classes of {sufferer, the statement continúes that hundreds of people have been left entirely destitute, and should be re-establishedand says: "The sufferers by this flra are an excellent class of people and they represent fairly the people of the state. Their requests are moderate, but the mission tinds thab a very larga amount of money, building material and supplies wil! be ueeded. While contributions of material are aceptable tbe cotmiiission would remind the peopie oí the state tbat money is tho most portable and useful contributiou posible."
