Washington:, Sept. 30.- The Miles Planting and Manufacturing compauy of Xiouislana, engaged in the planting and j-owing oí sugar cañe, applied to Judga MeCoinas, of the District suprema court, ÍOT a mandamus ngalnst the secretary of the treasury and the commisitioner of interna! revenue to compel them to continuo the inspection of sugar plantations required by the McKinley sugar bounty law. Judge McComas directed that Seo■etary Carlisle be required to show cause ■Oct 4 why mandamus should not issue. The case involves the payment of the silgar bounty.
