Chicago, Sept. 24 -The whisky trust has filed In the office oL Iuterual Hevenue Collector Miz a protest against the legality o( the sectioti of the new tarifE law whlch increases the tax on spirits írom 90 cents to $1.10 per gallon. The protest is noc agaiast the increase in the tax, but against increased bond the distillers are compelled to give. It is maintaiaed that wheQ the whisky is made and put in bond there is &n implied contract with the goveinment at the 90-cent rate tax. .
