Miss Lulu Gilbert left for her home in Col ton, California, Friday. Mrs. Minto entertained gnests from the South the last of the week. E. A. Putman and son have returned from their Union City sojouru. Hon. T. E. Barkworth will address the Milan people at the opera house Wednesday evening, Sept. 26. Mis. Chas. Sill entertained 65 guests at the M. E. tea social, Tuesday evening. All had an enjoyable time. Milan nine left Tuesday a. m. for Adrián, where they will play a game with the Adrián nine. Baseball is the game of the day. Mrs. J. P. Cookenbach, of Chicago, delivered an interesting lecture to the ladies at the G. A. R. hall, Tuesday p. m. Suliject: "Wonian; her greatest needs." Mts. J. C. Bouse, president of the Baptist ladies' association of Washtenaw county. will be with the missionary ladies at Aim Arbor on Thursday of this week. Miss Rheinfrauk, of Saline, and Miss Forsythe, of Lodi, arrived in Milan Saturday. They will make it their home with Mrs. fiouse this .win ter and teach in the Milau school. The Milan Eastern Star Chapter had their offlcers installed Tuesday eveningby Past Worthy Patrón Stuart, of Dundee, with the assistance of about 20 Dundee Eastern Stars.
