The Yalu River Engagement

WASHINGTON, Sept. 27.- The Japan ese legation bere is in receipt of a cable dispatch from their governineut which coafirms former repons of the Yalu battle. The Chinese vessels officially reported sunk are the Lai Yuen, the Chih Yuen, Yang Wei and Chao Yung. Those that caught flrc are Tiug Yuen, King Yuen and Ping Yuen. The Japanese had but three sbips damaged, anci they were not disabled.
