Appleton, Wis., Oct. 1.- After negotiations xtending over scveral months an English syndicate has practieally obt linetl control of tho paporand pulp Industries of Wisconsin. Options have boon giveu on every paper and pulp mili in the Fox rlyer valley. These options cover tiv Mity-nini' paper and twcnty-one pulp milis situated at Neenah, Menasha Apploton, Kimberly, Kaukauna, Combinad Lóeles and Deporc, which towns are located along a stiviuh of twenty-fivo miles of Fox river. Tho val ue of milis inoludod in the deal is about 10,M)0,000. The daily prodnet of : milis is about 500 tons of paper and ' 0 tons of pulp vvortli about 860,000. The agreemont opon which options are based provides that the prices of the milis be reekoned upon tho actual cost öf the plants, the present value of the water power, sites and rights, and tho earnlng capacity of the milis as shown by the past business. The payment is to be made ono-half oash, and one-half in three-year notes secured by a blanket mortgage on the properties.
