New York, Oct. 1.- The Brooklyn Eagle says: "Theie will be an independent Democratie state ticket in the field. It is not only probable, but it is virtually certain that it will be hended by the name of Charles 8. Falrchlld. Nominations for lleutenant governor and judge of court of appcals will also bo made. The menother than Mr. Falrchild who will go npon this state ticket will be chosen, as Mr. FairCihild already luis been, by the aceordant voices of the leaders and the followers of the independent üomocracy of the state of Now York. The financial resources requisito for a state campaign of the most active charaeter will not be wanting. The Opio.sitioix in Conference. 'Si nee the adiournment of the conven tion at Saratoga reform Democrats from all parts of the state have been in conference in New York with Charles S. Fairchild, Edward M. Shepard, Oswald Ottondorfer, Cari Schurz, ex-Mayor Grace and othor representative reform Democrats.among whom havo been those responsibly conneeted with leading metropolitan newspapers. "There will not be acomplete state ticket with a completoístate oommittee of reprosi'iitatives of each congressional district, but thcro will independent Democratie nominations for local offices, as well as likts nominal lons for the asseinbly.
