A large and appreciative audience filled and crowded the spacious halls of the School of Music, notwithstanding the unpleasant weather. The music was of a high order, as is always the case, and each number was finely rendered. The occasion was the first appearance before an Ann Arbor audience of the new members of the faculty, Mr. Gardner S. Lamson, basso, Mr. Alberto Jonas and Miss Charlotte Jaffe, pianists. Their rendition of their parts and the reception given them by the audience both indicated the upward trend of the School of Music. It is an institution of which Ann Arbor should be proud, and it is a gratification to know that it is appreciated, and to note the growing interest in the same by the public generally. The concert last night was excellent throughout, and the crowded condition of the hall would seem to indícate that the time is at hand when more room will be needed to accommodate those who desire to hear these meritorious and pleasurable entertainments.
