O. D. Lanptaear, wlio has been quite sick, is recoveriüg slovvly. He thinks he don't want anothersiich a lit ofsickness. Wilber Todd is building a new house. It is quite a tiue looking residence. Of course, wheu a baclielor builds a house, he intends to keep bachelor's hall and raise his own chickens. Those who did not attend the fair, Wednesday, did Thursday, so they alí went and guessed ou the pumpkin seeds. Bean threshing is the order of the day. From all repoits the erop is not very large. The dry weather is the clnef cause. C. fci. Starks is building a new ice house. Albert Valentine bought a fine herd of Jersey cattle the other day. Lawrence Olsaver is very Hl. He is one of the pioneers of Webster. Sam. T Wheeler had quite an experience at the fair last Thursday. Upon getting ready to go home, he found no liorse to go with. For three days he ooked for his lost property. Saturday it was found in a livery barn by the fair grounds. Whetherit was stolen or got away, and wandered there, is not knovvn at present. P. Kearney took the premium on tb best half bushei of potatoes.
