The Good Templars of Whitmore and Ana Arbor give a free entertainment at Emery on Saturday evening, October 6. A welcome is extended to all. School cornmenced iu District No. 1, j Oct. 1, Miss Nellie Green as teacher. Miss Louise Dalkey returned home last week from her visit in Ypsilanti. Dave Dickerson, of Dimondale, is visiting relatives here this week. Geo. Lemen starts for the fair at Stockbridge this week, with grapes. The Ladies' Aid society met at Mis. H. Spiegleberg's, Wednesday, October 3. Tea was served at 5 o'clock. Miss Emnia McGounder is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Geo. Jung. The Whitmore Lake Good Templars will give an üld Folks' entertainment at the Lake house, Saturday, October 20. A good programme is being prepared. Admission, ten cents. A cordial invitation is extended co all. Elbert Henry, of Bancroft, is spending a few days with liis uncle, W. A. Willson.
