Dr. V. C. Vaughan returned from Buda Pesth a few days ago. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Budgett are back from the Pacific coast. Mrs. V. C. Morris has gone to New York City for a short visit. Prof. Edward L. Walter returned Monday from his European trip. A. E. Flindt, of Adrián, was in the city Wednesday, on business. Miss Mary Miley is visiting friends in Detroit for a few days. Eugene Burnette. of Onondaga, N. Y., is in the city visiting friends. Samuel Medbury, of Detroit, is in the city, visiting old acquaintances. E. J. Ottoway, who has been visiting friends here, left for Detroit, Tuesday. August M. Eek, the cigar manufacturer, has returned from Springfield, 111. Fred Clement, of Lansing, is in the city clerking for the Ann Arbor Organ Co. Rev. E. Eleszler, of Bridgewater, was the guest of Rev. Max Hein, Wednesday. Mrs. Guy B. Thompson, of Detroit, is visiting her mother, Mrs. D. F. Beckwith. Mrs. Beckler, of Chicago, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Shadford, on the North Side. Mrs. Jno. Johnson, of Packard street, who has been east all summer, has returned. Geo. Fritz left Monday for Mendoda, Ind., where he will make his home for the future. Mrs. S. W. Beakes has been spending a few days with Mrs. Martin Lawson, in Detroit. VV. A. Braun, a newspaper man of Onondaga, N. Y., was in town, Wednesday, visiting friends. Mrs. M. F. Jones, of Kalamazoo, has moved to this city and will make her home at 27 Maynard street. Mrs. Gilbert S. Pitkinand daughter Alice, of Petrolia, Ont., are visiting Mrs. Julia A. Pitkin, on South Fifth Ave. Supt. Carroll, of the street car line, is in Boston for a few days, and A. C. Wilson is acting as superintendent. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Condón left Tuesday for Chicago. Mr. Condón is on his way to Hancock, where he is in business Jerome Colegrove and family, of Gott street, left on Wednesday for Cadillac, where they will make their future home. Mr. and Mrs. St. Clair, of Volland street, have returned from Northern Michigan, where they spent the summer. James Crosby Lewis, justice of the peace at Utica, is in the city visiting his mother on South Fifth avenue for a few days. Attorney-General Ellis was in the city, Tuesday, on business ccnnected with appointing a receiver for the Ypsilanti Live Stock Insurance Co. Geo. H. Pond, city editor of the Courier, left Tuesday for a 10 days visit to North Dakota. He has gone to see his son Llewellyn, who is at Grand Forks. Mr. C. G. Cook left Wednesdav for Louisville, Ky. He represents Ann Arbor TypographicaL Union, No. 154, at the annual convention of the International Union. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Babcock spent the summer at Newport, Saratoga Springs and other eastern resorts. They left Ann Arbor on the same train with Prof. Stanley, who spent the summer in Europe. On returning home they were surprised to find Prof. Stanley on the train, he being on his return from Europe.
