[OFFICIAL.) Office of the Board of Public Works, i Aks Arbor. Mk-h., 10 o'clook a. m., ■ October 6th, 1394. Special session. Called to order by the clerk, who stated that the meeting was called for the purpose to eleet a president of this board, and to act on the forms of contract and bond assubrnittedby the city attorney, for building lateral sewers. Roll called. Present- Messrs. Scbuh, Clark, and Bullis. On motion of Mr. Clark, Mr. Schuh was electecl president pro tem. Chairm an Schuh stated that the first order of business was to elect a president of the board in place of Mr. Heech, resigned. A ballot for president of the board was taken, which resulted in electing Mr. Albert M. Clark. Mr. Bullis moved that Captain Schuh be allowed two men for two days to assist him in cleaning out the maiu sewer from Hiil to William streets. Adopted. City Attorney Beunett submitted and read contracts and bonds that he had drawn for Liberty and Washington streets sewers, for approval of this Board. Mr. Clark moved that the time be flxed December lst, 1894, for the compietion of the lateral sewers in Districts No. 1 and No. -. Adoptei'. Mr. Bullis moved that shoulíl any contractor discontinue the work for a space of tive days without the writteu consent of the Board, the work shall be considered as abandoned. Adopted. i Mr. Bullis moved that the contract as read and amended be approved by this Board Adopted as follows: Yeas- - Messrs. Schuh. Clark and Bullis. Mr. Bullis moved that the amouutof the bond iu the name of the people be tixed at $5,000. Adopted. Mr. Bullis moved that the forni of the bond iu the name of the people be approved by this Board. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Schuh, Clark and Bullis. Mr. Bullis moved that the forni of the bond as read by the City Attorney to be given to the city be approved. Adopted. Mr. Bullis moved that the contracta and bonds for the lateral sewers, District Xo. 2, be approved as read. Adopted as follows: Yeas - Messrs. Schuh, Clark and Bullis. Mr. Bullis moved that the Clerk notit'y Mr. E. W. Groves to appear before the Board meeting this evening, at 7:30 o'clock, for the parpóse of consulting with hini as to beiiigoneof the sewer inspectora. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Schuh, Clark and Bullis. Mr. Schuh moved that the Clerk also notit'y Mr. Geo. B. Schwab to be present at the meeting to be held this evening, for the parpose of consulting with him as to being one ot tlie sewer inspectors. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Schub, Clark and Bullis. On motion the Board adjourned. Clerk.
