Death Of James Sage
James Sage, of Lodi township, died shortly after Wednesday noon, of heart disease, after an illnes of three weeks' duration. He was seventy-one years, two months and eleven days old. He first settled in this county in the fifth ward of city and for a while kept a grocery where Hertz's saloon now is. He then moved to his farm in Lodi, where he has lived for many years. He was a political power in his township and served as justice of the peace and for four years was supervisor of the township. One of his sons afterwards represented the township on the board of supervisors. The funeral services will be held on Saturday at seven o'clock at the house and the burial will be in Northfield.
