A number of members oí' the Y. 1'. S, C. E., of this village, attended the county convention, held at Ypsilanti last Friday. A large company of little folks "surprised" Rolland Lehr last Friday eveniug. All report a good time, being nicely entertained by his parents. Master Herman Schoettle broke his arm last Saturday afternoon, while jumping from a buggy. Don't forget the great cloak sale next Thursday and Friday at Walter C. Mack's. Dr. Kapp, of Ann Arbor, was in town last Monday, on business. Miss Carrie Nisle is visiting relatives at Hillsdale. Mr. H#Cash and daughter, Winifred, of Brooklyn, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James Kelly, In town. II. Kirchhofer and Harmon Clark were in Hillsdale a few days last week on business. Mrs. Sweetland and family, of Scio, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rauschenberger over Sunday. Miss Edith Kapp, of Ypsilanti, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Kapp. Mrs. Howard Macomber went to Detroit last week Wednesday and returned home Saturday, accompanied by her husband. Bertha, Ella and Walter Lehn drqve to Tecumseh, on Saturday, to visit friends. Mis. Bauer, of Lenawee Junction, is I in town, taking care of hei" mother, i Mrs. Kriegle, wbo i very sick, Gust Kuhl aini George Torry bave j gone to Ann Arbor to attend the University. Misses Lizzifi and Mamie Farrell attended the bicycle association held in Tecumseh last Saturday. Geo. Heimindinger, who lives west of Manchester, is reported very sick.
