Would it not be cheaper and the extermination made more complete to hire some one of the republican campaign speakers to stump the township ? Two manufacturing concerns, one of which promises to employ 45 men, are willing to settle and do business at Millford, if the town will raise a few thousand dollars bonus. Edmund Gregware was reruseü a ride on a special rate ticket, by the Lake Shore company, because the limit had expired. He sued in justice court and was awarded gioo damages, but the case was appesled to the Monroe circuit, where the judgment was chopped and the award made $68. Gregware regards it as his victory, however, and walked away from the court room with his hat well back, over one ear.
