Englishman Makes A Bridge Jump

PoUöHkeepsie, N. Y., Oct. 15.- Captain Montague W. Martin, a young English ofïicer who oame to New York with u body of English cavalry last wintor, jumped from Poughkeopsie bridge to the water, 130 feet below, He was picked up in an unconscioua oondition aíter a few moments. He was revived with some difficulty, and it was found that he had suffered a slight wrench of the right knee, but he was apparently uninjured in any other way. The jump. it is said, was made on a wager.
