A deplorable accident happened Saturday, at the Michigan furniture factory, resulting in the almost instant death of Christian F. Wetzel, aged about 60 years. Mr. Wetzel was operating a rip saw, when a slab from a stick flew back from the machine, striking Mr. Wetzel just back of one ear. Death ensued in about 10 minutes. Dr. E. A. Qlark was called in, but of course could do nothing. Mr. Wetzel had been in the employ of the furniture company several years, his residence being near the Central milis. A widow and four sons are the immediate family survivors.
