The General's Appeal

Work on the new street car loop was begun Monday morning. This loop will pass over Hill street, E University avenue, and State street, rejoining the main line again at Williams street. By this loop a large territory hitherto not tributary to the street car lines will be brought into patronage range of the cars and to people south of the campus, the opening will prove a great practical convenience. The work will be hurried to completion as rapidly as weather will permit.
