Mr. and Mrs. Stevens were treated with a surprise party, Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Kelsey spent Sunday visiting friendS in Tecumseh. Mrs. J. Hanson is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Babcock, in Lansing. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Fuller were the guests of Attorney and Mrs. G. R. Williams from Wednesday until FriHay. "Gyp, the Heiress, or the Dead Witness" wil! be put on the boards at the Dundee opera house, by Mitan talent, Oct. 26. Hon. J. S. Gorman and Hon. C. R. Whitman will speak at bGay's opera house, Oct 25. Mrs. Stringer, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. Whitmarsh, for several days, has returned to her home in Inkster. Miss Dora Smith has returned home from a two months' visiting tour. The Baptist ladies netted $50 at their fair last week. The M. E. revival conference of the Adrián district will hold a meeting in Milan, Oct. 30 and 31. The young people of the M. E. church opened the Penobscot album and showed living pictures of this iilustrious family to the Milan people, Tuesday, Oct. 23. Musical program and chicken pie. Mr. and Mrs. Day spent Sunday in Ypsilanti. Mr. and Mrs. Mell Barnes and son spent Sunday in Dundee. Mesdames Chapín and Williams visited C. M. Fuller's schoon on the Macon, Wednesday. Mr. E. Appleton, of Detroit, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. SM. Mrs. B. Waite, of Scio, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. C. Harder, and her brother, Dr. S. Chapin. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Kelly left for Detroit, Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs.' Chas. Gauntlett are at home to their friends in theit new residence on West Main street. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Woolcott, of Ann Arbor, are visíting Milán relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Rouse, of Lodi, spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse. Miss M. A. Palmer is seriously L11. Mrs. Blackmer and Mrs. Minto drove to Ypsilanti the last of the week.
