" A comfortable theory which it would be well if we were philosophical enemgh to apply to all onr undertakings. If young people, too, could only be taught to count their honest failures as so inany premiums vaid to experience, how much discouragement would be saved and how many ultĂmate triumphs won ! Parents and teachers do not half appreciate the valuĂ© of a fallare, which with tact and kindness is turned to good account, and which in the end may be far more beneflcial than a suecess. Children should early be trained to cousider them not in the light of discourageinents, but as the best centives
