Denver, Xov. 8.- Governor Waite concedes the defeat of his party. "To my mlnd," he said, "it proves oonclusively that money has dominated the election froni the boginnlng to he end, and the Democratie party is most reeponsible for the fact that tliey voted the Republican ticket insteud of their own." When asked if he thought tlie Populist party would regain powor, the governor replied: "I believe it will, but it may not be for Borne time. I do not know oxactly how it will be done. 1 thlnfc we will have to do it right over their heads. I advocate this being done in a peaceful manner - if possible a peaceful revolution. Of course I believo the ballot is the proper method to be employed, but this has not proved eflicacious in rhis state' The governor gaid that the women'sinfluence in the citics whure it is greatest was exerted agalnst him. "The women," he said "must be educated to think for themsolves and not be controlled by the money power as the men are."
