At a regular meeting of Welch Post, G. A. R., Department of Michigan, held at their hall, Friday evening, Nov. 9, the following resolutions were adopted : Whereas, It has pleased our Heavenly Father to take unto Him our late comrade in arms, Jerome A. Freeman, and feeling it our duty to express our respect for the departed, be it Resolved, That in him this community has lost one of its best and most worthy citizens, and Welch Post, No. 137, G. A. R., a good member and beloved comrade, who was ever ready to join hands in works of charity, fraternity and loyalty. Resolved, That we feeldeepsympathy for his widow and family, in this their hour of sorrow, and that we mourn with them the loss of a good husband and father, in expression of which the insignia of mourning shall be attached to the flag of this Post for thirty days. Resolved, That the adjutant of this Post cause these resolutions to be spread upon its records, and also that they be published in the city newspapers of Ann Arbor, and transmit a copy of the same to the family of the deceased. l Gom.
