Ruh-rah! Ruh-rah! Michigan, Tra-la-la! or words to that effect. Cornell catne, saw and was "overcame." Sound the hew-gag! Beat the drum! Pasp the bombajar! Smash your plug hat or the other fellow's. Do anything. If you want to find the United States on the map, look for Ann Arbor and the United States will be found lying all around it. Annually for years the U. of M. has met Cornell on the field of manslaughter and been "done-up." Saturday at Detroit it was different. The foot ball teams met there and Cornell was sent home in a winding sheet, on a bier inscribed "12 to 4 in favor of the U. of M." The result of the tussel with the "crack" team of the east was hardly expected in Ann Arbor, but nevertheless a large crowd of citizens and U. of M. students, including co-eds, went to Detroit to witness the game. Cornell met its Waterloo, and Michigan is spelled with a "Doublé M." The U. of M. rejoices. Ann Arbor rejoices. Washtenaw rejoices. The whole state of Michigan rejoices and is glad. The professors are dizzy with delight and even the president is said to be not quite calm under such a decided victory Ru-rah Ruh- ! Well. what is it, "devil"? Oh, copy! Here, take this just as it is. Can't write more anyway. Have to go out and join the celebration.
