St. Louis, Nov. 26.- Today the seventh animal meeting of the Trans-Mississippi congres was called to order at Entertainment hall, Exposition building. ThU will be the most notable gathoring in thia city during the present year, Daily sessions will be held, ending on Friday. The convention is composed of ten delegates from each western state, one from each county, one from each city for every 10,000 population, and three from each business orgaulzation, with an additional oue for ear.h 100 members. Tho chief subjeots for discussion aro "The Remonetization of ïSilver," "Irrigation of Arid and QLher Land," "Disposition of Indian iínd Public Lands," "Nicaragua Canal," "Xational Bankrupt Law, " "Improvement of Western Rivers and Harbors," "Anti-option Legislation," ■'Mining Laws" and "Admission of Territories to Statehood. " Among the more prominent delegates here are Governor Vaite, of Colorado; ex-Governor Prince, of New Mexico; Delegato-electCannon, of Utah, and A. C. Fiske, of Denver, president of the Bimetallic league.
