Amos K.etcheson, of Whittaker, buried 15 bushels of potatoes at the back end of his farm. Subsequently he concluded to remove them to a safe place fearing, perhaps, that they might be stolen. He left the hole, however,and Ketcheson thinks of removing'that to his cellar. John K. Robison, grandson of Hon. John J. Robison, is a mechanical and electrical engineer, and is now at Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon, on the Island of Corsica. He was sent by the U. S. Government to study in foreign countries their methods of mechanical and electrical engineering. A supposed female ghost, which turned out to be a woman, was recently caught near the seminary building at Ypsilanti, with a stick of wood in each hand. The marshal caught the "ghost," who begged not to be exposed. Ross thought she was already sufficiently exposed and let her go without revealing her name.
