Sprixgfield, Hls., Nov. 36. - The most destruetive coiiflngration that has occurred for years has visitcd Springfield, resultin in the destrucción of half a blook of buildings in the business portion of the city. The ure originated in S. M. Little & Co. 's big Hvery barn, corner Fourth and Adaim streets. Ijittle's Hvery barn, Emanuel Sal.cnstein's livery barn, Smith and Lyon's transfer burn, Huntley's wholesalu drug store, the armory oí company C, Kifth infantry, I. N. G., the merchant tailoring establishment of Cíoorge W. Anderson. and Vincent Hembergor's undertaking establishment wore burued, with most of the content. Over 100 horst- were buined to death. George Brewer and Uavis, sleeping in Little's livery barn, ware burned to death. The loss i about Í100.C00.
