Prof. Stanley spent Tuesday in Detroit. Karl E. Harriman is visitinL' in Chicago. A. Hill, of Detroit, visited Aun Arbor this week. C. J. W. Jacobs spent Thanksgiving in Detroit. Miss Nellie Mingay spent Thanksgiving in Howell. Mrs. J. F. Ryan, of Mt. Pleasant, is visiting in the city. VV. D. Church, of Detroit, visited his parents, Tuesday. A. M. Clark gobbled turkey in Kalamazoo, yesterday. Mrs. B. M. Thompson has returned from Port Huron. Miss Liebig sang, Tuesday night, at the Second Baptist church fair. A. H. Hopper, of Alpena, is the guest of his brother-in-law. T. E Peal. Miss Nina M. Davison selected Toledo in which to pass Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Youngs, of Flint, attended the funeral of Mrs. Osborne. 'Miss Bert Schneider is spending Thanksgiving week with friends in Jackson. A. Nissley and A. Fansel moved :heir feet to Thanksgiving music at Manchester. Dr. Wm. Eister, of Flsuhing, visted with his parents and friends, Thanksgiving. DeWitt C. Fall, of Jackson, attended the funeral of the late Nelson Sutherland. Miss Alexander and Mr. Trowbridge were readers at the recent Baptist church fair. Mr. and Mrs. E. K. jenkins, of Flint, passed Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Watts. Dr. Frank Porter and family, of Bay City, are guests of Mrs. C. B. Porter, of E. Ann street. Miss Hattie Keith and Miss Allie Pacey, of Dexter, were Tuesday guests of Mrs. E. E. Beal. Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Mead, of Cleveland, were Monday guests of Dr. and Mrs. D. A. McLachlan. John J. Duffy is able to be out again after several days passed indoors with a " cultivated cheek." Mr. and Mrs Byron Foote, of Jackson, have this week been guests at the home of James W. Robison. F. O. Martty and family placed their feet under the Thanksgiving table of G. F. Fansel, of Manchester. A. J. Davis, of Adrián, step-son of Mr. E. VVebb, of the "Argus " bindery, passed Thanksgiving in this city. Harry W. Douglas, superintendent of the Ann Arbor Gas Co., attended the D. K. E. banquet in Detroit, Tuesday evening. Prof. Trueblood left for Delaware, Ohio, where he has been engaged to give a series of lectures on "Great Orators" at the Wesleyan university. The Young Men's Sunday Evening club was last Sunday eveninii entertained by Miss May Clarken", with a number of beautiful harp selections. Mr. E. F. Walker, of Cadillac, made the Argus a pleasant cali Wednesday. He and Mrs. Walker spent Thanksgiving in the city with their! daughter who is a student in the University.
