A cliange in street railway superntendent places Mr. Berry, of Detroit, in charge of the service. I. J. Goodyear is spoken of as successör to Fred Schmid, as trustee of the Eastern Asylum. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Seabolt, Wednesday evening, entertained the clerks of the Anti Arbor Savings bank and First National bank. George C. Page, of Dexter, has passed the eighth decade of life but feels that his eyes are still worth look ing after, and is receiving treatment of Dr. Carrow. Christopher Wicks was drowned at Charlevoix, last Monday. He was a son of Mrs. Maybee, who resides with her sister, Mrs. L. C. Amsden, of Hill street, this city. An inpromptu concert, with a fine progiam took place at the residence of L. H. Clement, on S. Fourth avenue, Tuesday evening. It was not a gotten up affair, but took place spontaneously. Short talks before the Inland League next Monday evening by Mrs. James B. Angelí, Mrs. J. H. Martin and Mrs. Elsie Jones Cooley, and a musical program by Miss Minnie Davis, and Miss Elsa I big, pianist. Goethe Commandery, Xo. 28, United Friends, elected the following officers last evening: Past commander, Michael Grossmann; commander, Adolph Schmidt; vice commander, Wra, Hochrein; secretary, Geo. Allmendinger; treasurer, L. Gruner; prelate, Miss M. Miley; marshal, Geo. Baur; inside guard, Joseph Geromiller; outside guard, Jacob Hertenen; medical examiner, Dr. Wessinger. This society is in a flourishing condition, and is steadily increasing in membership.
