Fool Knavery
During the progress of the A. A. L. I. Inspection hop, Wednesday evening, Capt. Fisher was informeel that there was a fire in the building. The captain quietly informed the company present of the fact and requested that they retire without confusiĆ³n. Bracing their courage by the captain's coolness the crowd slowly walked down stairs, by which time the department had arrived. There was no danger, however, as the smoke seems to have come from some burning papers, said to have been lighted in the hallway, by persons who had been refused admissioe. If this was true it was a smart "Aleck" trick that would put the tricksters, if caught. where they would have to be unlocked bysomebody, to escape a fire.
