In the case of Louis L. Rhode vs. Wm. Biggs, to recover on a contract for work done at the University, a circuit court jury, yesterday, after a week 's hard fought trial, gave the plaintiff a judgment of $2,500. The case on trial is that of Daniel S. Bryant vs. Benjamin Houston. Bryant's horses became frightened at Houston's steam threshing juggernaut and threw Mrs. Bryant out of the carriage, by which she sustained the injuries. He asks damages. This case will be followed by Heywood Boot & Shoe Co. vs. Wm. P. Schenk et al.
