Ixdianapolis, Dec. 17.- Goorge W. Turner, editor of the New York Recorder, h&s been in the city two days in close consultation with President Harrison, during which time he has dined at Harrisons's liouse and has been out driving with him several times. He said jast before leaving for New York that he had come te Indianapolis to confer with Harrison, and the subject of his possible nomination by tho Republican convention iti 18!Hi was Jiscussed. He made tho following statement as tho result of his visit with the ex-Presidont: "Nothing could be moro ivpugnant to Mr. Harrison tban a thinl noniiniitioii, und he would much pretor to remaln at liis home here in Indianapoli and pracMce law.
