Zera Burr entertained his nephew Wednesday. E. J. Coy and wife, of Jackson, have been visiting friends here the past few days. Mrs. V. W. Bostwick and chil, dren, of Owosso, are visiting here. Miss Lizzie Deckert, of Ann Arbor, was home for a few days, last i week. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mains, of Detroit, after spending a few days here, have returned home. W. H. Butler, of Detroit visited his parents last Wednesday. The dedication of the new Congregational church at Chelsea will be held January 17, 1895. R. C. Prof. A. ]). Dewitt was in Detroit last Saturday. Mrs.Jerusha Wygant is dangerously ill. Wesley Canrïeld, of Sylvan, was j a caller here one day last week. Arch Miles and friend were here one day last week. Alex. Schermerhorn has returned home from Pinckney, after severa! das' visit with friends. Mr. and Mrs. A. Voorhis are entertaining their daughter from abroad. John Becker has now located his , barber shop in the rooms formerly occupied by Peter Guinon on Main street. Mrs. F. Schultz entertained her daughter from abroad on Tuesday. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Kobins died Monday I norning, Dec. 31,1894, and the rej mains were taken to Ypsilanti Wed nesday morning for burial. Married, at the home of the bride's mother, on Christraas eve, Mr. Fred Kayuska and Miss Nina Zwick, both of this place, Rev. H. A. McConnell officiating. May much happiness attend them, is the wish of their many friends. Skating is all the rage for the young people here. Miss Myrtie Bostwick is the guest of his sister in Detroit. Mrs. Charles Coy and son, of Jackson, spent last week with relatives here. H. P. Hunt, of Columbus, has been visiting his friends here. G. 'H. McLachlan, the noted singer evangelist, will conduct a series of revival meetings in the Dexter JY1. 1(. church, beginning Ihursday evening, January d, at 7 o'clock. All are cordially invited to attend. Ed. Tarham, of Pinckney, was a visitor here Saturday. Miss Bessie Daley has returned to Milan after spending the holidays with her father. George Devine, of Ann Arbor, was the guest of his brother the lirst of the week. Messrs. W. Carpenter and J. Gregory called on their best girls in Pettysville last Sunday. Miss T. Branch was the guest of Chelsea friends Tuesday. Jay Peatt has a position in the Detroit Can Co. Joseph DeGanley and wife and daughter, of Detroit, were entertained at the home of E. A. Butler, last week. Jos. Connors, of Sandwich college, Ont., is home for a vacation. Miss Angelí has returned home from Monroe after several weeks visit. Herbert Cope called on sonie of his friends last week on his way home from Albion college. Mrs. Fred Litchfield and children are spending a week with her] brother-in-law in Ann Arbor. Mrs. F. Waggoner, of Lansing, is the guest of her parents for a few days. Arthur Simms, after spending the holidays here with his parents, has returned to Port Huron. John Costello, Jr., of Detroit, was home last week. Mrs. Andrew Greening and son, of Chelsea, were Dexter visitors last Tuesday. Charles Hendrick, of Ishpeming, was with relatives here the past week. Mrs. j. W. Rosier and daughter, of Jackson, have been with their friends in Dexter. Henry Sloan is entertaining his daughter and family. Herman Easton and wife and son, of Ann Arbor, was entertained by some of their friends last week 'in this village. Miss Ollie Morris has returned to her home in Detroit after a few days' visit with her parents. L. 1'. Davis, of Kansas City, was here on business last week. I Mr. Crofoot, of Pinckney, was i with friends here last Friday. Miss M. Lavey is visiting hei (friend in Ypsilanti. A. Speileberg, of Ohio, is visiting rclatives in this place. Eva Hill is spending a few days with her friend in the village. Burt Hookerand friend, of Pettysville, spent Saturday here with their friends. Miss Olga Jedele has returned home after a week's visit with friends at Clinton. Miss Jennie Johnson, of Ply mouth, is visiting her father. H. C. Hays, of Cleveland, Ohio, is being entertained at lhe home of bis son. Mrs. C. C. James entertained her brother last week. Wedding bells are soon to ring in this place. Mrs. John Haab and farnily spent Tuesday with relatives at Four Hile lake. E. Serviss and wife, of the University City, called on her mother the first of the week. Marión Alley and friend are spending the week in Livingston county. Frank Sharpey, of Vassar, is visiting his parents for a few days. J. Reider and chum spent Tuesday at the lakes. John Wall. of Cincinnati college, was home with his parents last week. Miss ina Johnson, of Scio, anc Miss Holt, of Detroit, are visiting , Chester Johnson at Ottiwa Lake. Miss Ida Vickers, of Staples Minn. , is visiting her parents fora few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Tubbs are enter taining their daughter, Miss Emma Tubbs, of Ann Arbor. Mr. Glover, of Anderson, shook hands with some of his friends on Saturday. Messrs. G. and T. Cope, of Vpsi lanti, was visiting their cousins here last week. Mrs. Charles Carpenter, of Ann Arbor, is visiting relatives in this place. Frank Buchanan has returned home after several weeks' visit with Grand Rapids friends.
