A Wonderful Mirage

The people oí Belleville, a little village of 1Ö0 inhabitants situated on the St. Lawreuce river nearly 300 miles from Montreal, were receutly surprised by a beautiíul mirage wbicli huiij.; over tbe towu for nearly an hour. It was the iiiiat: of a six story brick bnilding and was so olear cut and well (lefined that the color of the bricks aiul niorfar cuuld be plainly distingnisbed. Everybody in the little village gatherurl on the river bauk and watched the beautiful visiou as it slowly faded away to the uorthward. Whether the original of the mirage is a building situated in Montreal, Quebec or some city of New York Btate has not yet been deteruiiuud and probably neverwill be, owing to the dolusive obaraotei of snob phenomena. -
