The governor's paard and First Regiment band escorted the party froin the station to the capítol. Mayor Corscot presided over the inaugural ceremonies. Cliief Justice Orton wum seated at nis rlght and admlnistered the oaths of office to the new state officers, with which the exercises terminated. Thé outgoing state officers each escorted h is successor froni the executive office to the assembly chamber and presen ted liim fov inauguration, after which they returnel to the executive chamber. After the inauguration the escort committee accompanied the state oñicers and their ladies to their residences. The legislatura assem bles on Wedn(;sday.
